Privacy Policy

Overview

TrackMySarkar is designed to be a minimal-data platform. We collect as little personal information as possible. This policy explains exactly what is collected, why, and how it is used.

Cookies

We use the following cookies:

• tms_token

  An authentication cookie set only when you log in as an admin or contributor. It is httpOnly (not accessible by JavaScript) and expires after 7 days. It is never set for unauthenticated visitors.

• theme (localStorage)

  Your dark or light mode preference is stored in your browser's localStorage — not in a cookie. It never leaves your browser and is not sent to our servers.

Analytics

We do not currently use any third-party analytics service (e.g. Google Analytics). If we add analytics in the future, this policy will be updated and we will only use privacy-respecting, cookie-free alternatives where possible.

Advertising

We may in the future serve advertisements via Google AdSense to help fund the project. If enabled, Google may use cookies to serve personalised ads based on your browsing history. You can opt out of personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com. This policy will be updated when advertising is active.

Email collection

We plan to offer an optional email subscription in the future so visitors can receive notifications when promise status changes. Email addresses will only be used for this purpose and will never be sold or shared with third parties. Unsubscribing will be one click and immediate. When this feature is live, this section will be updated.

Registered users (admin/contributors)

If you create an account as a contributor or admin, we store your name, email address, and a hashed version of your password. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and are never stored in plain text. Account details are used only for authentication and are not shared with any third party.
